D113 Macroporous Weak Acid Cation Exchange Resin
About this Product:

The D113 is a premium-grade, macroporous weak acid cation resin supplied as moist, tough, uniform, spherical beads. Its ion exchange functionality is based on the carboxylic group, which is easily converted to the hydrogen form and has a strong affinity for divalent ions.
This resin is a versatile solution for hydrogen cycle dealkalization, deionization, and various chemical processing applications. The D113 can also be supplied in the sodium form, making it suitable for sodium cycle applications, such as water softening and the efficient removal of heavy metal cations.
Key Applications:
The D113 resin is utilized in a wide range of applications, leveraging its specific properties for both water and process stream purification:
Pharmaceuticals: Plays a key role in the separation and purification of biochemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Water Treatment: Used for deionization and softening of water and aqueous organic solutions. When paired with a strong acid cation exchange resin (like 001×7), it excels at removing alkalinity and hardness, especially carbonates and bicarbonates.
Wastewater & Recycling: Employed in industrial wastewater treatment and metal recycling to recover valuable resources or reduce pollutants.
